❌ The traditional approach
Casting calls, projects, funding and interviews live across dozens of sources. You spend hours piecing together, on your own, a picture that is already out of date.
Knowing a role exists does not tell you who is building the project, where it stands, or what the people involved say about their work.
Access to casting calls, speed, visibility and directories are often sold separately. You pile up tools without ever getting the full picture.
✅ What The Radar does
We follow, sort and connect the useful sources so you do not have to spend your days watching them.
By seeing projects, collaborations and what people say side by side, you come to understand how the industry moves.
You choose where to spend your time. Sometimes you write. Sometimes you prepare, you watch, or you wait for the right moment.
See it coming
A project leaves traces as it is written, funded and staffed. The Radar connects those traces so you see where it is heading, instead of only finding out at the final call.

Spot who is working
Who is shooting, who has just wrapped, who is going from one project to the next: every casting director is ranked by their actual activity, and the ranking moves with it.
RDA stands for responsable de la distribution artistique, the other French name for a casting director. An enriched profile brings together the links, networks and filmography we have already checked.
The Radar is the heart of the directory of projects in the making: it puts people forward and shows which projects are being set up.
A professional has a project in progress as soon as a project they are credited on has not been shot yet (CNC funding, an open casting call, a project followed by public sources for less than eighteen months), and is active if their latest work is under two years old or awaiting release.
Otherwise we show how many years have passed without any sign, and everything is recalculated every night: one new project is enough to become active again.
Project in progress: a credited project that has not been shot yet.
Active: a work under two years old, or a film awaiting release.
No known activity for N years: N counts the years since the last public trace.
Activity is calculated profession by profession: the same person can have a project in progress as a casting director and no known activity for six years as an actress. That is why each profile shows, under “Last activity”, the tag of the profession concerned.

Partnerships and collaborations
You change your book, your demo reel, your messages and your targets all at the same time. Even if something improves, you have no idea what made the difference.
The Radar helps you test one hypothesis at a time: the right moment, the right project, the right person or the right material. You learn from every decision.
The Radar helps you understand when reaching out makes sense, and when it is better to watch, learn or wait. Writing more rarely comes top of the list.
Systems that push you to apply in one click strip away the context and quickly turn serious applications into noise.
A casting call posted directly on 400 Talents stays free, contact included. The subscription pays for the ongoing work of monitoring, sorting and connecting information published elsewhere.
What you are buying is a sounder professional culture and better grounds for your decisions. The role and the audition stay in the hands of the people who cast.
A piece of information does not always call for a message. The method helps you decide who to follow, what to prepare and when to act, without turning your career into an email campaign.
First you build your knowledge of the industry, then you choose your moves.

You are funding a huge, continuous effort of monitoring, sorting, checking and connecting casting calls, projects, funding, activity and what professionals say. A casting call posted directly on 400 Talents stays free, contact included.
It is mostly for choosing. A piece of information can lead you to apply, but also to follow a project, prepare your materials, understand someone better or wait for a better moment.
A platform mostly shows you casting calls. The Radar links casting calls to people, companies, projects, funding and recent activity. You get a reading of the industry, and you choose for yourself who to write to.
Because your application goes out from your own inbox, under your name, and you see what happens to it: opened, read, clicked. A platform form hides all of that from you and drowns your message in mass submissions.
Casting calls come in as they are published. Activity indicators are recalculated every night. Other sources are added as they are published and checked.
Yes, if you want to understand more of what is in the works and stay in charge of your professional culture. The Radar adds to your agent’s work: you walk into meetings knowing what is being discussed.
Yes. Many casting calls can be answered without a demo reel, with a short introduction and natural photos. You build your tools as you go, instead of waiting for them to be perfect before you start.
No. It gives you better information and better context to decide. Nobody can guarantee the decision of a casting director, a production or a director.
Yes. The Radar costs €18 a month or €180 a year. You can start monthly. The launch price stays yours for as long as your subscription remains active.
